Alice Shapiro
Alice Shapiro is designer and owner of FYND, a modern decor center specializing in original digital art on canvas and select pillow covers. Shapiro studied Fine Art at Hunter College, NYC and Interior Design at The Art Institute of Fort Lauderdale, FL. Her designs are often inspired by art found in The Metropolitan Museum of Art collections. Shapiro's paintings were exhibited internationally for over 15 years. She is also currently serving as Poet Laureate of Douglasville, GA, is author of three volumes of poetry, was nominated for Georgia Author of the Year and a Pushcart Prize. Shapiro's verse tragedy won the Bill C. Davis Drama Award and its most recent production was held at The Turner Cassity Literary Festival to standing room only. Shapiro enjoys writing poetry for its intensity, and designing to relax.
